Throughout this blog series, we have reviewed all of the new changes for Dynamics 365 F&O’s Credit Management feature and how they are used. For the final part of this 11 part series, we’re finally diving into the new Credit Management lists and what they can be used for.
Credit Management Lists
- All credit holds – This is a cross-company list of sales orders on hold (not just the company you are in).
- Active – If the field is checked that means that the order is still on hold.
- Review Date – This is a field that you can update manually (it’s not auto-populated or auto-updated).
- Document status check – This is the document that put the order on hold.
- Blocking Reasons – This tells you why the order was put on hold.
- Release options
- Release
- With Posting – Removes the order from hold and posts whatever document (i.e. confirmation, packing slip, etc.) was being posted when the order went on hold. This option remembers all the parameters you were using when you were trying to post originally.
- Without Posting – Removes the order from hold only. Then you will need to manually go post whatever document (i.e. confirmation, packing slip, etc.) was being posted.
- Reject – This will reject the order. If the order is rejected that means that the credit issues must be manually corrected, or the order cannot be processed.
- Evaluate for Release (there are parameter settings to say what reason code and if the release should process with or without posting).
- Process block rules – This can be manually executed or setup in a batch. This process looks at all the on-hold orders and re-runs the rules to see if the order can be taken off hold (i.e. if a customer makes a payment, then the order may be taken off hold).
- Process block rules for selected lines – This process looks at all the lines that you selected (put a checkmark on the lines) and re-runs the rules to see if the order can be taken off hold (i.e. if a customer makes a payment, then the order may be taken off hold).
- Open credit holds – This shows all orders on hold.
- Closed credit holds – This shows all orders that haven’t been approved or rejected.
- Credit holds due for review – This shows all orders on hold. This is the global list that crosses legal entities.
- Release
